The Wildlife Garden
The
concept of the Wildlife Garden began when Scott Aldersley, a member of MCFG,
notice a piece of fairly derelict ground at the corner of the West End Inn
car park. The Manager of the West End Inn and Hungry Horse agreed to allow
MCFG to tidy and develop the plot.
The first working party
took place in March 2009 and the workers were faced with a tangle of weeds
and a collection of rubbish including an old freezer, a mattress and many
beer cans. 
After
removing the rubbish a gentle, non-persistent weedkiller was applied and
later the plot was rotovated.
