The Wildlife Garden in June 2010
We
have had a working party on the Wildlife Garden each month this year mainly
on maintenance. During the Spring we added a wood chip path to break up
the Garden, the wood chip being donated by Hills Recycling Centre.
Now that we are well into
the growing season the Wildlife Garden has really come to life with a good
selection of colours and a good selection of plants that attract the insects.
The
irrigation systems that relies on rainwater continues to support the pond
which has now become established. During the working party on 13 June we
planted a number of bulbs and generally tidied up the Garden. Regular working
parties are held - see the Home Page of the website for details - and would
welcome any help.
