Borrow an Energy Monitor
Scottish and Southern Energy has given MCFG six Energy Monitors for loan to the residents of Melksham and the surrounding area. The monitors will be available at Melksham Tourist Information Centre from Monday 9 Febraury.
The monitors are easy to set up and clear instructions with pictures compiled
by MCFG are included in the box.The monitors display the amount of
electricity that is being used in real time and the cost. It is also easy
to check the power consumption of indvidual appliances in the house.
MCFG members and the Melksham Tourist Information Centre have tested the Monitors and have been able to make savings of around 20% on their energy usage with very little inconvenience.
The monitors will be loaned out for a fortnight at a time and there will be no charge but, to protect the monitors, a refundable deposit will be required.
